Waiting

Collision. Divergence. Possibility and probability.
Space folds in ways we can describe, but not comprehend.

Something pulls you, and you look across,
In a direction to which you cannot point.

Take just one step;
Into a place of silvered skies that never darken,
Nor grow lighter,
Where you can count the feeble stars
And wait at the edge of a quiet, still pool
For… something.

She appears silently, standing next to you,
Gazing contentedly with you across the waters.

Neither of you
Waiting anymore.
